Director Madhur Bhandarkar may revise the dark and dramatic scenes of mommy-to-be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's character in Heroine
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's impending motherhood has put some worry creases on the brows of those who are currently helming Aishwarya's only film on the floors, Heroine. The project schedule will have to be revised and the script too.
The project which was to earlier take off with Kareena Kapoor as lead, eventually landed on Aishwarya's lap after certain modifications in the script. The shooting finally began a couple of months ago. But the actor's pregnancy may throw the project off course, again.
Says a source, "It's a very dark and stark script with lots of really intense moments for the leading lady.
Aishwarya won't shy away from any of those dark sequences, but the director is worried that her pregnancy may make it tough for her to go through the emotional turmoil that her character would need to project."
Apparently her character stares failure in the face several times through the course of the film. Efforts are now on to not only lighten the intensely dramatic scenes, but also speed up the schedule so that the film will be complete before Aishwarya's pregnancy is visible.
Aishwarya, however, is determined to see this project through.
Innumerable attempts were made to reach Bhandarkar and Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV, who is producing this film. They were unavailable.
Says a source, "There is no real problem. They simply have to make sure that the dark drama of the role and the complexities of the character don't affect the mother-to-be."
